Watch the video above or read it in article form, below! Fitch Bits: The Gloucester Sea Serpent DID YOU KNOW that Gloucester, Massachusetts has its own sea serpent cryptid? The waters around Gloucester and Cape Ann are said to be home to a 60 foot long, serpent-like creature with the head of a turtle! These sightings have been going on for many years, with the first occurring in the 17 th century. In 1638, just 18 years after the pilgrims landed in Plymouth rock, a feller name o’ John Josselyn made the earliest sighting. If you don’t know who that is, well, you’re not alone, but he was well-known in his time. He was a traveler to New England, and he wrote about what he saw and heard “with credulity.” Then there were a few hundred years’ worth of additional sightings, with the creature’s highest activity being recorded in the years between 1817 and 1819. These sightings were reported by fishermen and sailors with the descriptions always being pretty much the same. Sometimes t

Fitch Bits: The Windham Frog Attack DID YOU KNOW that Windham Center, Connecticut was attacked by frogs?   Okay, not really, but that's the myth. It all stems from one summer night in 1754. This was a little before the start of the American Revolution and right at the beginning of the French and Indian War. Tensions were high and the British and French were constantly fighting for control of this area.   So, you have people on edge, hot weather, and the general boredom of being alive in the 18th century when the good residents of Windham Green got jolted awake in the middle of the night and "Rushing out from their beds, they listened with horror and amazement... A din, a roar, an indescribable hubbub

Fitch Bits: Champ DID YOU KNOW that New England has its own lake monster? Champ is his name and being a cryptid is his game! He's said to live in the waters of Lake Champlain in Vermont. There have been more than 300 documented sightings and P.T. Barnum, himself, once offered a $20,000 reward to anyone who could bring him the creature, dead or alive. One of the earliest sightings by western eyes was in 1819 by a ship's captain. He reported that he saw a creature over 180 feet long with "eyes like peeled onions!" The story goes even further back in time, though. The Iroquois and Abenaki tribes both have ancient legends of a lake monster that lurked in the lake and ate people. The Abenaki even

Fitch Bits: The Dover Demon DID YOU KNOW that the Dover Demon might just be a real deal, living cryptid? Back on April 21,1977, William Bartlett, 17 at the time, claimed to see the creature in Dover, Massachusetts. That very same night, 15 year old John Baxter was allegedly frightened by the very same creature on Miller Hill Rd. That sounds like teenagers with overactive imaginations, but here's the thing: neither of the boys knew each other or spoke to each other. They were both asked to draw the creature individually and that's the kicker! They both drew the same exact thing and you can see the pictures for yourself right here! That sounds crazy, but what do you think it was? Let us know in the
